Is the golden spice a golden cure? Woman, 67, beat blood cancer after stopping traditional treatments and using TURMERIC

A 67-year-old woman from London, England has reportedly put an end to her years-long battle with blood cancer with turmeric. Doctors reportedly claim to have never seen anything like this before, where medicinal plant compounds have actually cured someone’s cancer.

Formally known as myeloma, this type of cancer is formed by malignant plasma cells — which are found in bone marrow. The average survival outlook is just over five years. The American Cancer Society estimated that there will be over 30,000 new cases of myeloma in 2018. Overall, in the U.S. the lifetime risk for developing myeloma is just 1-out-of-143. In the U.K., some 5,500 people are affected by the disease annually, and nearly 3,000 succumb to the condition each year.

Dieneke Ferguson says she was first diagnosed with the disease in 2007. And after years of failed conventional treatments with myeloma, she is now leading a normal life — all thanks to curcumin.

Ferguson underwent three full rounds of chemotherapy and four stem cell transplants, but despite these aggressive pharmaceutical treatments, her cancer continued to spread. Before turning to curcumin, Ferguson says she was facing a second relapse and increasing amounts of back pain. But in the face of what seemed to be an unstoppable disease, she did what few people would have the courage to do: She gave up on “conventional” cancer treatment and looked to natural remedies for help.

After ceasing all conventional treatment methods, Ferguson says she simply started a daily regimen of taking eight grams of curcumin once a day. Curcumin is perhaps the most recognized compound found in the prized spice, turmeric.

Daily Mail reports that she continues to take her daily dose of curcumin and things continue to look good. In fact, Ferguson’s cancer cell count is so low, it’s negligible. Five years after halting conventional treatment, the pensioner is still going strong.

And her recovery has been so miraculous, her doctors from Barts Health NHS Trust London have even produced a report on it for the British Medical Journal Case Reports.

In their paper, her doctors stated,”To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report in which curcumin has demonstrated an objective response in progressive disease in the absence of conventional treatment.” The doctors also noted, “In the absence of further antimyeloma treatment the patient plateaued and has remained stable for the past five years with good quality of life.”

While her doctors maintain that curcumin may not work for everyone, Ferguson says she hopes more research will be carried out on the spice.

“I hope my story will lead to more people finding out about the amazing health benefits of curcumin, ” the cancer survivor commented.

But as we all know, mainstream medicine is hard to change and loath to appreciate natural medicines like turmeric. Mike Adams, the Health Ranger and director of CWC Labs, recently weighed in on this astounding case of turmeric curing cancer. He noted, “For decades, the medical establishment has colluded with the for-profit cancer industry to smear anyone who talked about herbs, spices or superfoods fighting cancer.”

“Yet millions of people across the globe continued to successfully prevent and even reverse late-stage cancers using nothing but foods, herbs and natural medicine,” he added. Ferguson is clearly on that list — and it’s a long one.

And as this remarkable case has shown, the time for mainstream medicine to stand up and pay attention to the potential of natural cures is long overdue. Turmeric is known for providing an array of health benefits — and many times, doctors might even be amenable to the concept of supplementing with herbs, spices and other medicinal foods.

Why is the notion that these plants can not only prevent, but cure, disease so hard to accept?
